Sell into Germany without inheriting someone else's marketplace mistakes.
Amazon.de, OTTO, Kaufland and the DTC channel alongside them — account strategy, compliance registrations, and a fulfilment model whose returns maths still works at volume.
Where marketplace launches stall in Germany.
LUCID packaging registration, EPR obligations, VAT/OSS, and the German product-labelling rules are listing prerequisites. Sellers usually discover them after inventory is already in transit.
German return rates in fashion and consumer goods are among the highest in Europe. A fulfilment model designed for a lower-return market erases the contribution margin you priced on.
Amazon.de is the entry point, not the strategy. Without OTTO, Kaufland, and a DTC lane, pricing power sits entirely with the platform.

We launched a national Amazon marketplace from the platform side, managed its largest seller accounts, and designed the export programme that took foreign brands into EU5. We know where sellers stall before they do.
Questions sellers ask us first.
Do we need a German VAT number to sell on Amazon.de?
If you hold stock in Germany — including FBA inventory — yes. If you ship cross-border only, OSS may cover you. We map which applies to your setup before you commit inventory.
What is LUCID and does it apply to us?
LUCID is the packaging register under the Verpackungsgesetz. Anyone placing packaged goods on the German market must register and contract a dual system. Marketplaces block listings without it.
FBA or a German 3PL?
It depends on your return rate, SKU profile, and whether you need multi-channel fulfilment. We model both against your numbers rather than defaulting to one.
Can you run the launch, or only advise?
We can run it. Most clients keep us on through registrations, onboarding, and the first trading quarter.
